I bought a 1980 C10 it has a right side gas tank the gauge reads past the full mark. I ohmed out the (Pink/Orange) wire comming from the sender and it read 89 -91 ohms the tank is empty. Is this a bad sensor? Also I found that the sensor wire goes to the firewall block pin 30, but what pin is it in the cluster?

Thanks in advance.

The usual suspect is a bad ground. Check for a corroded ground wire from the sending unit (on top of tank) to frame.
