Just looking for some updates.. Some new installs since that thread, and see if its worth it. Not liking the whole dirt discovery in the tube..

 

Any feedback to offer?

 

Everything is stock on the truck with exception to 50 series flowmaster.

Kevin, I will not go into detail due to time, but search CAI on this forum. I would encourage you to check out True Flow on their website. I have one and have been a walking testimonial for them.

 

Everyone that I have talked to who has run an oil annalysis on their oil when using a cotton gauze filter will tell you that it came back with increased levels of Silicone/Silicate. (dirt and sand).

 

How much is too much, you have to decide that for your own truck.

 

For me, any extra dirt in my motor is too much.

IMHO, if it says "Fram" on it, it will not come within 20' of any vehicle I own, period.

works as good as the rest more air through the filter and smother tube. since more companys have jumped on the CAI bandwagon it's mostly what name you want on it or how much $$ you wanna spend.
