check engine light code PO170

My light has been on constantly for a week or so.

Took it to Autozone to have them read the codes and about 6 codes showed up.

He cleared all codes and when the light came on again the first one to pop up was the PO170.

Any ideas before taking it to the dealer?

Fuel Trim Malfunction...

This can be a tough one. I think this can be caused by anything from a MAF sensor to an O2 sensor to a hole in your exhaust...

I know this is not helping much. Hopefully someone else here has had this code pop up...

BTW, did you get any of the other codes befor they were cleared? One of those may help isolate the problem.

I had 4 or 5 codes in all.

once they were cleared, the PO170 was the first one to come back on.

The others were sequential, like, 171,173,174 etc.

p0171. p0174, are lean fuel trim, check for restricted fuel filter, low fuel pressure, or possible vacuum leak ie. leaking intake gaskets, or tube from MAF sensor to throttle body loose/torn how many miles on your truck?

I have just over 90K on my truck.

perhaps I'll get a new fuel filter and see if it helps to change it.

thanks
