I bought a PCM from W4M and am get a misfire on all

cyl. code, OK I expected this. Now the two independent shops

in this area say they can't do the relearn because it is too new and they

don't have the capability to do it. I called the local dealership, they want

$79 to hook up to their equipment and then they say they reset all parameters

that are out of their spec's, not what I want. I guess that's their business.

My questions are, how long can I run with codes like this? And, is there

anybody else in or near to N.W. Colorado that is able to do the relearn for me?

Thanks for any help

good luck, it took me quite a while to find a shop anywhere close that knew what i needed done. stay away from the dealers, look for a perfomance shop that deals with the newer camaros, firebirds and vettes, they should be able to help. you could also try to get jesse on the phone while you are at one of the independant shops and he can tell them exactly which scan tools will do it and how to do it.

Your vehicle is an 05 correct? They have been available since 9/04. That's not new by today's standard. I too live in NW CO (well sorta) and I know what you mean about finding an independent shop that can do anything as difficult  as a crank re-learn.

"05" is correct, 2500HD 8.1. If anybody knows of a shop, even if it is in Grand Junction, or Denver, or anywhere else in Co. for that matter it would be nice to know about them.

Anybody got an answer about whether I will do any damage by running with the misfire code?
