Anyone know if the brakes on the new Cadillac EXT 4x4 are same as the earlier 2005-2006 models?

Do you mean pads & rotors?

I'm betting the brakes are all together different from the older ones but I'll have to check into it.

Yes... the whole brake assembly, and also if this same assembly is/has been used in any other GM vehicle?
