Transmission Kick

Hey guys, I wonder if some of you felt this before: sometimes, when in traffic jam, my transmission kicks harder than usual between 1st and 2nd gear. not driving hard, it extends the shifting till 3000, 3500 rpm and kicks. At all other times it works pretty normal, no complaints. An oil change and a

're-program' or firmware update (whatever) was done to the tranny at the end of my warranty (36k) and now I have 60k. is it time to change the oil again? consider using conditioners, or any Pep-boys stuff ? thanks!

Are you setting any codes? Mine did exactly that when I had a bad throttle position sensor. I think it goes into limp mode which raised trans line pressure and raises shift points. I was worried about my trans but once I read the code and replaced the TPS, it returned back to normal. It drove like that for a few days before I got around to fixing it.

I would have it scanned even if your ses light is not on.
