Hey guys wondering if anyone can help me I'm at my wits end . I've got a 1995 GM Sierra 4x4 , 5.7l . My heater constantly blows hot air , I can't control the direction of the air flow either ,its stuck on defrost although I can control the fan settings and of course the A/C won't engage either , not a very pleasant ride when its hot out ! I took it to a mechanic to have look , he switched out the control unit with another ..still no help , his words were "its a nightmare" are there vacuum lines I can check , fuses or ? I've been driving like this for a year now . Does anyone , anyone at all have any advice whatsoever

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you've got a busted vacuum line under your dash somewhere. I'd start there. Probably broke off right at a junction. They're just hard plastic lines IIRC and get brittle with age.
