electric supercharger

has any one try the eletric supercharger. it connects to a cold air intake at the filter it comes with a kn air filter and can be turned on and off. it is suppose to pump out some nice hp.can anyone tell me if they are worth trying? i have a 5.3L

I heard they were bogus. It wasn't possible for an electric fan to produce enough additional cfm/boost to gain anything. and that at higher rpm they were more of a restriction than benefit.
