"Denali" or "Yukon" ??

I've noticed in some of the pictures posted that the rear hatch has the "Yukon" badge and it is also this way on page 31 of the dealer brochure. Mine has "Denali" on the rear just like on the sides. This was not changed by me or the dealer. Anyone have any ideas to explain the differences?? I could add a picture, but I would need someone to give me instructions. Although it seems smaller on the inside than our 99, it has been a joy to drive and I really like the passing power from 45 - 85!. Thanks in advance for any help in posting a picture or any explaination. J

Denali is GMC's Luxo Trim/Performance level above the Yukon's

My checkbook is well aware of the upgrade. The issue is concerning the differences in the rear nameplate with some Denali vehicles have "Yukon" on the rear and mine has "Denali'. Not a problem with me but others have expressed disappointment with their Denali vehicles being badged as "Yukon" on the stern. I will probably remove it and the GMC from the door anyway, but some of us are wondering why the difference. J

Mine has the Yukon emblem and every model that I saw on the lot has the Yukon emblem instead of the Denali. I think your truck is the exception. Consider yourself lucky.

my guess is that you have an earlier production model----GM prob changed their mind and decided that they could mass produce liftgates with less money spend on additional badging if they kept the "Yukon" badging instead---this way they could put that badging on throughout the entire Yukon lineup and save some money... in today's economoy, thats a smart move for the bean-counters at GM and a crappy move for us Denali drivers.
