4L60E Whine

1995 Jimmy 161k 4.3 4L60E. Owned from day one and have been changing trans fluid and filter every 30k.Pan is never very dirty. Magnet in pan is generally clean. Trans shifts fine but started to whine @ 100k.Whines in reverse and drive until it locks in overdrive. No noise in overdrive, park or neutral. Any idea on cause of whine? Is this a "Trans Shop" only repair? Thanks

I HEAR CLICKING IN MINE.. I DONT KNOW IF ITS TRANS OR TRANSFER CASE ALL I KNOW ITS GETTING LOUDER AND ITS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TRUCK MAKING THAT RACKET....

Yes it's 4x4. It seems to whine in sync with rpm

most likely a transmission front pump
