Lift Kit

2000 GMC Sierra Stepside Z71 thinking of putting on a lift kit probably nothing more then 2/3" (would like to still get into garages and drive-thrus) But I am not sure If i should get a suspension lift kit (and all that comes with it) or a body lift kit. What is easier? What will cause more headach in the end? I know the price difference but are there things about a lift kit that most do not pay attention to (ex. driveshaft, axelwrap, etc.)????

Body lifts are about 1000% easier to install.

Suspension lifts are 1000% more useful.

Really depends on how you're going to use it.

Depends on the application. I have a buddy with a 95 z71, and when we were trying to take off the bolts that hold the body to the frame, 2 snaped. On some other trucks, like my ford, there was hoses that were too short, had to make extensions on wires ect. The radiator hose had to be fixed a good 4 times until I finally did it right, and the E-brake is about useless. Plus tranny cables can need extended. In my opinion, body lifts are only good for tire clearence and under the hood clearence. For looks they arent too hot. :gmc: If its on a relativaly new truck, Id imagine its much much easier.
