1991 454ss tranny trouble

My 1991 454ss which I have had since new and low mileage seems to have a sudden tranny problem.1st gear feels like something is binding so I don't force it to move,2nd gear has a noticable clunk but drive and OD and reverse are fine. The truck has seen 0 abuse and is babied .It has low miles- 30,000 and it is probably from lack of use! I plan on dropping the pan andswapping the filter and fluid.Obviously I want the truck to stay original so swapping the tranny is out. Any help would be appreciated.

Change the filter and fluid, but make sure you get a full flush, and not just a pan service, there is a chance your problem will go away.
