I have a 2003 1500 Silverado Ext. Cab Z71 and had the torsion bars cranked up. It rides like crap and I want to adjust them back to factory specifications. Can anyone tell me exactly where to measure from the ground to the frame? Also, what should the height be? I also assume that I would need to turn the adjustment bolts counter clockwise to lower truck, right? I want to get my truck back to the factory specs. Please help! I can't find a repair manual on this truck at this time....

I realy don't know for sure but I've seen a post on this board that said the bottom A-arm should be level to the ground.

My Sub. is a stock 4x4 and the bottom A-arm looks level to me.

BTW sitting at normal height the bumpstops touch

It is referred to as the "Z Height" it is the vertical height difference between the center line of the lower control arm rear bolt and the bottom of the ball joint bolt. Not sure exactly, I'd have to look again, t be sure and the number I can't even begin to guess... There is a picture floating around here some where.
