yes a stearing noise question again

Yes im a burb owner with a rattle box stearing system. Mines an 04 first time they did the lube kit lasted about a year. this time it really sounded bad ( even my wife heard it) The dealer was so conserned that it might be something more. It was not and they gave me the UP DATED lube kit. Anyone know what that means or what that it. for now its quite, but i sure hope this NEW grease works.

Not sure Scott, they did mine two weeks ago. It's quieter but lubrication apparently doesn't get to the root of the problem which is the shaft itself. I can still feel the motion in the column over certain road surfaces. Also if the rumor is true that a redesigned shaft will be available next year, that would seem to confirm that the design of the intermediate shaft is the problem.
