I read a smilar post from yesterday. My question is a little different. My Yukon XL has 50K and runs great. However, due to the industry that I am in, I have been given 4 new O2 sensors but have not put them in.

Should I go ahead and replace them now or hold these new O2s until I have more miles on the clock?

If I do decide to replace them, should I replace all 4 at one time or should I change one, drive it a few days, change another and repeat until I have all four changed? I was just concerned that replacing all four at once my set some type of code.

Good advice. My Dad is 67 and I have heard him say this several times. I have an addiction to "piddlin". Just like changing my plugs and wires a couple of weekends ago. At 50K I know this was unecessary but I enjoyed doing it. And besides, now I have those cool Red Wires. The red color alone is good for at least 10 HP. :banghead:

Roy, the ten horses came from the wires being red. I was really just joking about the 10 horses. However, I will tell you that I have an Interceptor Scan gauge that has a HP calculation feature. Previous to the new wires and plugs, it would read 302 HP at shift point. It read 309 after the wire and plug change. I did not run it just before the change. The previous test was on a 70 degree day. The day I did the wires, and checked the HP again, it was about 50 or maybe a little less. This would likely explain the increase. Also, the Interceptor is no dyno, it just calulates off air flow, fuel, air temp etc.

The wires were Taylor 8.2 PowerVolts, and some do claim that really good wires can provide a little HP. I am not sure if the wires and/or air temp did mine, but the wires are great quality and they look really nice also.

It is my understanding that Blue wire will get you at least 20 and if you put the decal that came with them in your back window, it will get you anothrer 10. :)
