I think a good place where you could put it is either under the back seat on the floor or under one of the font seats. how big is the amp?

12-3/8"W x 2-11/16"H x 11-1/2"D

Is it a noticeable difference in quality if I run a long speaker wire to the subs and put the amp closer to the front of the car say under one of the front seats? I was thinking about under the rear seats, but didnt know if the seats would still fold properly because I forgot to mention I also have a Lightning audio 1 farad cap as well. I was thinking about removing the LR cargo trim panel and seeing how much room was in there.

You could mount the amp and cap in the LR qutar cover panle in the back of the SUV. Their might be a slight differance in the way the subs sounds (depending on the subs you have ) sum like haveing the amp closer to sub so it has more response time and more wattage going to it instead of traveling a bit to get their. I hurd that from a freind that works at a audio shop when i was installing my stuff in my truck. you could always mount the amp behind the seats in the rear. I seen that done many times and looks preaty good. could put lil spaers where the screws go to hold the amp and runs the wires behind it and make it look very clean. just a few ideas.

where and how big/many subs are there goin to be? You COULD mount the amp right to the subs box. You COULD also create a nifty little box to place behind the seats to color match..and so on..something like that would benifit rather then drilling into a nice denali..I would NOT put them under the front seats...to much of a risk of gettin kicked..really dirty..stuff jammed under there, i had 2amps under the front seat before and they got beaten to sh*t. Thats just FYI.

The box is already custom built to Alpine specs by me 3 years ago. It has plexiglass view windows on the back of it so there is no place to mount the amp. I have a quick connect on the speaker wire to the box so that i can remove it and still haul stuff if i need to. Keeping the amp out of sight and out of the way would be awesome. I guess I will have to see myself if i can fit the amp and cap behind the LR panel.
