This is great for straight-ahead traction, but it's sure easy to get sideways on a corner when both wheels spin! It takes a bit of getting used to, and it's a handful for anyone that's not expecting it or not used to it.
SoCalChris Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I've been considering a locker too. Just curious, but how much are they asking for the ez locker that you're looking at?

Fightening if you're not used to it. I almost spun completly around when I took a corner with wet roads and accelerating from a stop a bit too hard.
Jacqson Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 If you guys are looking for a locking differential I would recommend a selectable locker. These allow you to lock and unlock your diff at the flip of a switch. Automatic lockers work well for most situations but they are brutal on slippery surfaces because you just don't know when one wheel will break loose and lock the other one which could lead to a loss of control.

I think this is what I am going with, I will re-post with results. Guys are right about the back end coming around more with these lockers. My weekend car is a 580ish HP Grand National so I am used to that kind of behavior.
ZZebes Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I love my G80 cause like today when it is raining and people are riding with me and i can break the rear loose and walk the truck sideways down westhimer. The look on there face is priceless.
