Hey have an 07 classic witht he 4.3 and thats about it.

In the rain and heavey mud the car spins its rear tires like crazy. Its 2wd becuase well i like sliding alot, and well yeah.

Anyways i was wondering is there like a diff I can put in the rear end to help with this. IF so what kind if somone has a link that would be awesome.

Anything else to help in the mud let me know thanks!!

OH yeah I know more weight in the back but its already loaded dowin with tools and tile.

You could put in a locker and get some better tires. Throw some weight in the back end (500 lbs of sand would help). Otherwise, not much you can do to make a 2wd stop spinning.

What are your stock tires? My stock Firestone Wilderness LE's were horrible in the wet and would spin when lightly accelerating from a stop. HUGE difference when I switched to Michelin LTX M/S. A locker would help too.

I would recommend putting in a limited slip, then just setting the clutches tight if you want the locker type action without spending that much money.

i would think the cheapest route is to find a used G80 since those come factory. Try Ebay, etc

If you can find an entire rear axle with your gear ratio/brake setup and a G80 in it at a junk yard, then just buy and install that. Simpler, faster, and usually the same price/cheaper.

just so you know, a locker usually isnt desired when driving in the snow and ice.

You sure about that? I sure would rather have a locker than a posi in the snow and ice.

Have you driven in snow? Why wouldn't you want a locker?

Putting in a locker with the same tires is the worst thing you could possibly do.

My truck came stock with the locker and s**tty ass goodyear tires. There was no such thing as one wheel slippage, if I lost traction with one wheel, the locker would just break the other loose and send the back end flopping around like a wet rag...

Put on some better tires. I went with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas. Not only is the traction difference unbelievable, but the f**kin thing handles 10x better now.
