Here's what I woke up to today!

They got it in 2 spots, luckily none of the posts were broken. It happened in the middle of the night apparantly, and of course it was a hit and run. I (and the police) were trying to figure out exactly how they hit it. If you notice there are skid marks in 2 different places. Luckily my kids weren't in the yard as their play house was hit in the corner. I fixed it already today. I haven't taken the after pictures yet though. Notice all of the SNOW in December in MN...

Yep, it's like there was more than one vehicle. No broken glass (headlights etc.) anywhere so if there was they didn't hit each other.

Looks to me like the vehicle was coming to the end of a spin when it hit.

Do you live on a straight-away, that someone might have been trying to see how fast they can go, but had no idea of how fast they can control ??

Surely that's two cars racing, one then tried to cut the other off, and they both went off into your fence. (Just my guess).

Definitely a crap start to a day. I get the lawn visited by a car about every time we get snow here as I live on a corner and the cut-through/(choice word)other residents haven't figured out that the corners are slick. This last time about 2 weeks ago, they made contact with the mailbox post, but only loosened it in the hole a bit.

I live at the end of a cul-de-sac, and my mailbox is in the lee of the corner, so it would be hard to hit.

 

But I've managed to do it.
