Dropping the rear.

My truck sets a little high in the rear and i want to lower it a couple inches to level it out and i've been told i need a set of shakles. There's a block between the leafe springs and the rear axla and i'm wondering if i could just take that out and make it work

can you lift the front up instead? i believe cranking up the torsion bars will raise the front up to level it out

I would rather drop the rear to make it kinda low. I know it's a 4x4 and i would rather put a lift on the whole truck but can't afford it right now so i'm going for the lower look.

The Beltech 2" drop shackles bring it down to almost level.

I have a set that is like new if you're interested.

I've taken the axle blocks your talking about out on my 4x4. Still a little higher in back, but it made a very nice difference. If you put the drop shackles in after that, you'll have to lower the front. Also, I suggest getting new shorter U-bolts.

just pull out your blocks. might just be all you need to get it to the level you want. if that doesnt work get the shackles.
