I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I was thinking maybe the weatherstripping would be an easy fix for it. Its not a bad issue, just a little leak here and there on rainy days or through the car wash, and yes I've made sure that it was completely stopped into the correct position. I do wish that it would come to a stopped position when you click the button, sometimes I do not get it just right. Any other ideas?

Well, I hope that i'm the only one with this problem. Wish I would have known about it before I bought the Tahoe. If anyone has had any problems with their moonroof leaking please let me know.

I had a moonroof installed in my SSS and it leaked a few days after. I took it back and the tech told me ALL sunroofs and moonroofs leak. It's how the leak tubes are routed that determines whether or not they leak into the cab. Mine were routed in such a way where they went upward a little so they got backed up.

If someone could do this for me, take a good or decent picture of their Tahoe moonroof, maybe I could compare, to me its weather stripping is cracked or not very good any more, I will look for those tubes to see what I can find. Thanks for the heads up!!

I had a moonroof installed in my SSS and it leaked a few days after. I took it back and the tech told me ALL sunroofs and moonroofs leak. It's how the leak tubes are routed that determines whether or not they leak into the cab. Mine were routed in such a way where they went upward a little so they got backed up.

that's BS , I'm sure you paid good money for that moonroof, I'd make em fix it, completely unnacceptable

They did fix it, the very next day as a matter of fact and have had ZERO problems since. Apparently the first tech installed those tubes in a very slight upward manner as was told to me by the second tech.

The way your post reads it sounds like the tech just told you that's the way they are and there was nothing he could do with it

First, they are drain tubes, not leak tubes. Second, only badly designed and/or installed sunroofs/moonroofs leak. I have owned quite a few vehicles with factory moonroofs and none ever leaked.

Anyone know where I could find new weatherstripping? After looking further into the issue, I've noticed with the proper lighting I can see through where the stripping is supposed to close it off. I also notice that the stripping is pretty thin in those two areas. So I think my resolution would be to replace the weather stripping, so if anyone knows where I could buy that new I would really appreciate it.

p.s. I've already googled it and googled it some more and I can only find door weather stripping.
