Factory Bose deck volume problem

Recommended Posts

My radio's volume constantly goes up and down. It wasnt that bad until i installed a sir-gm1. with sirius, it is really bad. It makes it almost impossible to listen to the radio.

Could it be a low battery causing it?

Sometimes the door chimes dont ring now either when i open the door, but start working when i start the truck

You may be noticing the speed-compensation volume mode in action. There should be a button that says "Auto volume" or "AVOL". Toggle that to OFF and see if it makes a difference.

The door chimes don't normally come on unless you have the key in the ignition. It's a reminder that your keys are still in the cylinder so you don't lock yourself out (yet most people still manage to do that).

No its not auto volume, already played with that. It is a major difference. Half way up is barely audible.

thats what was wierd about the door chimes, the key was in and door open, but no chime until i started for the seatbelt
