99 Yukon Denali new HU, no sound

I just ordered a Panasonic deck from Crutchfield which came with a wiring harness/adapter. I have installed new decks in all of my vehicles and am familiar with most wiring setups. However when I removed the factory deck, there were two wiring harnesses in addition to the antenna lead running to the deck.

When I hooked everything up the second harness was left dangling, and when I powered on the new deck there was no sound.

This is a 99 Denali with the 6 CD changer, and I'm not sure if the second harness might run to a factory amp? If so I am going to have to do some cutting and splicing, but I can't make any sense of the wires in that bundle....

the second harness is for the 6 disc changer. i have a 99 escalade which is basically the same setup as yours. i think your problem might be running the remote wire out of the headunit into the harness for the vehicle to turn on the bose amp.
