Need Help with Removing Vortec FI

I am in the process of trying to replace my intake manifold gasket due to the coolant leaking into my crankcase. I have a 99 GMC Suburban 5.7 Vortec. I am not extremely experienced in this but can anyone please tell me:

The best way to remove the components prior to the intake manifold?

I am concerned with the complexity of the fuel injection system and would like to know where to start so I can replace the gasket successfully.

I read that you don't have to separate the upper manifold from the lower. Can I just disconnect all the wiring and take it all out in one piece?

Are there any wiring manuals to help me put it back together once I get it apart?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Lift compressor over to accumulator ( leave lines attached ). Remove nuts and bolts that attach A/C and P/S bracket and slide bracket forward. Unplug all electrical connectors, they can only go back where they belong. Here's a trick I do, after all connectors are unplugged, pull the harness as high as possible and use a wire tie to tie the injector connector the the right wiper arm. This will really help. Pull the distributor, disconnect the 2 fuel lines at the back near firewall. Remove left valve cover. The plenum can and should stay on intake. Clean and dry everything good. Just use scraper, no need to use die grinder. Replace heater fitting, hopefully it won't break off but you need to replace it. Biggest mistake I see others make: After the intake is cleaned and upside down, when it is turned right side up gas always runs out of the lines. If you do not dry the back end sealing surface, it will leak oil. The silicone will not seal because of the gas. Thats all I can think of right now. The wine is kicking in.:driving:
