01z71 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I hope you catch who did it. That really sux. On Halloween of 2004 when my '04 was only a month old someone threw an egg at it. I still have the outline of the egg on the lower portion of the bed just behind the passenger extended cab rear door. I would have loved to have found out who did that or have been outside when it happened.

HyperBuzzin Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Sounds like someone's ready for a big can of Whoop A$$ !! Hope they get the little pin heads. Gonna be a lot of restitution for someones parents to pay !!
ZZebes Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I disagree with mythbusters on the sugar in the tank only because i helped my dad tear down his 69' chevelle SS after it was sugared and the engine was a total loss. the heads were filled with what looked to be a mollasses type substance and the cyinder walls were destroyed from the rock candy type substance that had formed in the Combustion Chamber

It does hurt it, I worked at a repair shop for awhile. They flushed fuel lines fuel filters, replaced spark plugs, cleaned throttle body and had to seafoam the rest of the engine. On a 92 cutlass ciera

Machine Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Man, that sucks. One reason I have a locking gas cap... Tires are easy to replace, but a motor would be a nightmare.
ken1mod Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Gasoline does not dissolve sugar. It just doesn't. It will sit in the bottom of the tank for a long time. If you take a tablecloth with cake frosting on it to a dry cleaner, they will wash it in "gasoline" like solvent and the cloth will come back with huge clumps of sugar on it. I was a dry cleaner in a previous life. Urban legend. Ken
