Daytime Running Lites on Silverado

OK, gotta admit I feel somewhat stupid asking what seems to be a trivial problem...but here goes...How the heck do you replace the daytime driving lite bulbs?!? I looked it over and don't see an obvious path to proceed. Since I see so many "1-eye-Silverados" on the road, I can't be the first person to get to this point.

Thanks!

You have to first remove the headlamp assm. Two "L" shaped pins hold it in place. You'll see the top of the "L" on top of the assm., one at each end. Rotate that L out of the clip and pull straight up. The headlamp will practically fall out of place.

Then, on the outer end of the DRL housing, you'll see how it clips into place. Depress that clip and rotate the DRL housing out of place.

Is there any cure for the bulbs burning out?  I've replaced 3 this year alone   and I'm about ready to give up and disconnect them

I was tired of replacing mine every month or so..........so I replaced my DRL with LED's.......I haven't replaced one in nearly 6 months now.......totally the way to go.......

Im not sure of the brand.......I just picked them up at a 'Canadian Tire' store one day.......they are blue in colour......and honestly I don't think they are any brighter than the regular bulbs............just last a hell of a lot longer......... :D
