Power Seat Trouble

On my 2000 1500 Silverado the front passenger seat will not work. It was moved to the forward most position and is now stuck there. I have had this happen once before and I fixed it by unplugging and plugging it back in the wiring harness under the seat. This however did not work this time. So I went to the fuse box on the side of the dash and pulled the fuse corresponding to the power seats. When I pulled the fuse it was too hot to touch.

I am looking for some way to fix this. I am assuming that it is a short of some sort either in one of the motors or switches. If any one knows how I could even by pass the power to manually move the seat back that way my passengers don't have to sit with their feet in the glove box

Thanks
