Anyone with an 2001 Z-71

I sent my cluster off to get a trans. temp guage put on it. When I got it back I turned my lights on and the color was blue. I don't seem to remember the color being blue. What is the factory color I think it was a white for the backlight but I can't remember.

Sound like you may not have gotten your own cluster back. The background light should be a white color. Try removing one of the bulbs to see if they have a blue coating.

Yeah, it's DEFINITELY not blue. Mine looks white(ish) also.

Not to rob your post but where did you send it off to get the trans temp guage installed? Also, if it has blue lights, then someone either sent you the wrong cluster (like someone else stated) or they just put the blue LEDs in your cluster for free . I replaced my bulbs with blue LEDs a while back and like them. If you don't want them, I'll take them off your hands . Changing the bulbs back are easy! They should be standard 194 bulbs (factory) and they just twist out of the back of the cluster housing. Hope this helps and thanks for answering my question regarding the trans temp guage.

I found the guy off of ebay. His name is Carl Cowles and does a great job. He did the cluster on my '04 and I have had no problems. He rebuilt the whole thing and added the trans. temp for $150.00. I'll find his number and post it for you. I am happy with his work.
