Removing fender flares

I was looking through the picture gallery and came across an "06 GMC crew (I believe it was owned by user name "Lou's crew"... anyway, it looked like the factory fender flares were removed. Just wondering because I really don't like the look of the factory flares on my '06 GMC. Has anyone removed those and if so, do you have pictures of the result? Thanks, Kevin

I've removed mine, I don't have any pictures though, but fenders are completely painted; the flares just snap over the existing fender.

no, its kinda easy, its mounted with a few small screws and plastic retainers i think

Like the previous poster said it's pretty easy, there are 5-6 retaining plastic clips in the fender that came out and 3M tape holding the upper part of the flare to the body. The dealer removed mine at delivery but with the double sided tape there shouldn't be any rubbing.
