I have a 2003 Suburban with the factory Bose/CD/XM radio. I will be installing a filter to kill the alternator noise but do not know where or what color is the main power wire to the radio. Can anyone help with this?

You want terminal B1. It is in the 24 pin connector. It will be an orange wire at the end of the connector. Be careful, there are 2 orange wires at the end of the connector. The one you want is (after a blank terminal space) next to the dark green wire. The one you don't want is next to the purple wire. It is a data line, do not tap into that.

Thanks, where is the terminal B1 located? Would a voltmeter be of any assistance in possitively identifying the correct wire?
