Hello,

I've been working on my '98 Sierra and can't seem to get past this problem. I get a code DTC P1345, which is a crankshaft/camshaft correlation problem. The service manual tells me this, but not how to fix the problem. Could you steer me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated.

I've printed "Procedure B" from your response to the two previous posts on that code.

I picked up another module from an auto recycler, but that computer gives me a code DTC P1336. That code isn't in the manual, any idea what that one could mean? The truck will start but won't run with this computer, with the other one, it does.

p1336 is crank shaft variation not learned. The reason it won't run is that the new computer has to be programed. The dealer can do both. Chances are you don't need the new computer. The p1345 is either a worn timing chain or distributor gear. If its a V8 it could just be the distributor out of adjustment ( V6's are not adjustable). Save yourself some money and take it to a dealer.

exactly more likely the dist.is not set to proper timing. It's cheaper to test than Guss :P
