BATTERY BRAIN

i just recieved a battery brain in freight today. a cust ordered it in for his truck about 65.00 cad. comes with 2 remotes and a module that bolts to battery. prevents dead battery and theft. looks like a good inexpensive add-on. www.batterybrain.com. anybody have this?

What year is your truck....? I thought all the new trucks came from the factory with battery protection already.

it is not for my 2000, it's for my customers street rod truck.

Well, that depends. If it's for security reasons it could be easily circumvented if the thief had a basic set of tools on them--just pull it out. For battery protection it seems pretty good, though. A few years back DieHard made a battery that had a security system built in to it that would do much the same as this system, but they recalled all of them and ceased production because the security system was a big drain on the battery. Mine lasted all of about 2 months before the battery was drained and by that time they weren't stocking them any longer. Bummer too, as I really liked it.
