Does any of you have a haynes or some type of manual for the 2500 HD with 8.1. I have been doing some resurch and can not find a manual for these trucks. I can only find them for the 1/2 ton trucks but they dont cover the allison or the 8.1. And dont know why they would not make them. Because they do make them for ford F-250. If you know where I could find one please let me know. Thanks

try searching for a Chilton manual. They're owned by Haynes now, BUT they tend to have a better selection of vehicles and are more comprehensive than the Haynes manuals. They're also more expensive, but as far as I'm concerned the extra expense is worth it for a good manual.

I forgot to put it in my post but I have tryed chilton and have had no luck finding one for the 2500 HD's

The only ones availible are the factory "Helms" manuals. They are a 5 book set, very comprehensive and run over $125. Do a search on this forum, GM's web site, or the net for Helms manuals or look in your owners manual on how to obtain them.
