Do you have to take off the tow hooks to install the bull bar?

On fullsize trucks, yeah they mount into where the tow hooks go. On my Colorado it was mounted to the frame under the bumper via brackets but it still blocked the how hooks. That's why I don't really like them unless you don't go offroad that much. Worse comes to worse though, you can still be pulled out by your ball.
