Good 6 Speaker Replacement?

Ive been looking for a good replacement for the stock 6 speaker system. A buddy of mine had some extra Sony 3 ways and i tried them out and it sounded worse than stock so i put the stock ones back in. Im looking for a little more base and clearer sound. I dont want subs, ive got alot of stuff under the rear seats. Im not looking to spend a whole lot on this, i just would like base without distortion. I just want to know what some of you recommend.

 

 

*Our 03 Impala's stock sound system kicks a**. It shakes all the mirrors, it sounds like it has a sub. If anyone has one of those, thats the sound im going for here.

Well i put in some bostons in my truck 6.5 compnets and 4x6 in the back. Bostons are very good Alpine type r or s Pionner are good to . Sony okay but not the best. TO really get good sound get compnets in the front and amp them. ROckford Kicker Mb Qaurts. that all the brands i can think of . Hope it helps out a bit.

I'd go with Alpines for good sound if you're keeping the stock head unit. If you're looking for added base, take the time and fabricate boxes to fit inside the doors and rear pillar. It'll keep sound from dissapating through the door and make each driver give a tighter base and more clarity.

I just put Infinity kappa's in the front and Rockford Fosgate power t162c in the rear and they sound amazing together, Im going to do the Memphis in the stock sub enclosure here soon.
