Intake Temp Sensor Trouble Code

A friend of mine has a 2006 Silverado. Not sure what engine is in it but I would lean towards a V6. He changed out his intake with a cold air version. Now he is getting a trouble code of P0113. He is telling me that there isn't a standalone intake temp sensor and that it is built into the Mass Air Flow sensor.

 

Can anyone help me out with this? It is built into the MAF or is it it's own entity? Built into the inlet pipe or in the intake mani?
