I have been looking for the factory service manual on CD, 2002 Suburban 1500. All I can find is the book set. Yes I have seen the Chiltons, Haynes CD's. Not enough detail for me. Yes I am willing to pay for it. I am aware of public access by GM through the net. I have Aldata at the shop

but would like to keep something in the laptop for all my road trips. Have 120k on it now and this all towing. Thanks for any help.

I bought the book set because it easier to take out to the garage when I'm working on the truck. The entire 3 book set was $135. Sounds like a lot until you realize just changing the drivetrain fluids once more than pays for the set. :banghead:

I have the the OEM books for mine + the DVD. I bought the books for arund $150.- and the DVD for $20.- (don't remember any more). Since then I saw the books on e-bay many times for arund $50.-

Both have their advantages and disadvantages. The DVD is great for searching by keyword and all references are as links. The books provide the advantage of better visual navigation but lack the quick reference function of the DVD. If I had to decide just for one of them I would go with the DVD.
