Sub Position..

Hey everybody, I have a Kicker CompVX TCVX10 10" Sub in a truck box and Im running 800w to it. I have a 2000 GMC Sierra Reg. Cab and the sub is sitting behind the middle seat with the cone facing the engine. Do you think I should move the sub so Its firing back towards the bed? Would it give me any better performance? Right now it sounds amazing but when I close the door I can barely hear it outside the truck...Thanks in advance!

If you want to be heard from a mile away, 1 sub is not going to do it.

 

If you want great sound quality that is candy to your ears, 1 sub will be great.

 

Doesn't hurt to test it either

Port it to be heard...thats what im gonna do with my L7 15 since you cant feel it much outside of the truck but you can hear it. Mines facing the back window really my only option in a reg cab but i think towards the windshield is better.

towards the front windows will work well but if you want hard slamming bass get 2 and port the box then it will sound nice and loud.
