MAP Sensor

How does your vehicle run if the map sensor is going bad? My truck starts, idles, cruises just fine, but when I give some gas to accelerate or when it is under load. It loses power and starts misfiring. Any Information would be helpful Thanks..

I pull a trailer for work and if I take my time getting it up to speed there is no problem same thing when leaving a stoplight at a dead stop. Only when I get on the gas( almost to the floor ) do I notice the problem I described. I don't need the trailer on the truck to notice this problem. I just mentioned the trailer because it's very noticable when I'm on the on-ramp trying to get on the freeway. Thanks for giving me an answer ...
