i have a 1982 gmc seirra that used to be a diesel. now its got a built corvette motor in it and i was just wondering what kinda of diesel did it have in it and how good was it. i dont know much about old diesels and was just wondering. i heard it was a 6.2 am i correct?

You should be correct about the original engine that was in that truck. I have heard that that wasn't a bad diesel if it was maintained well and wasn't worked too hard. I have also read that it got considerably better mileage then the 6.5 diesel although it had less power.
