Buying a Navi?GPS for 2007 H3

My wife ordered a Yellow 2007 H3 with navigation and GM cancelled the order since they no longer make yellow H3. We were upset.

 

However, we found a H3 on a lot which had most of the ordered item except the Navi.

 

I was wondering the following:

 

How to remove the face plate of the radio so I can see if I can do this or not?

 

Does any recommend or not recommend for me to do this project?

 

We are considering on getting the Pioneer AVIC-D3 and want to know what connectors/kits we need?

 

Currently, we have the LT3 option and that includes the Monsoon radio.
