I am new on here. My name is Erick, my father has a 1978 GMC High Sierra 4x4. I had bought a bug deflector for his truck but unfortunantely it does not fit properly. I have for the past few years attempted to find him one when I thought I had found one, but unfortunately they had given me the wrong one. The one that they gave me was for the 1980-1989 model hood where they go straight across until like his from I believe 1973 through 1979 where they concave in right above the lights. Is there any way to customize this bug delfector that we have or does anyone know where I can purchase one at?

I'm sure LMC truck parts would have the correct shield.

I had already checked their merchandise and they do not carry them, the only ones that I have found was for the straight edged hood.

It can be really hard to find parts for the 73-79 Chevy's and GMC's sometimes. When I had my '79 I had trouble trying to find the stupidest parts. It probably wouldn't be to hard to modify the part you have to work on the older body truck. Just check it out and if it looks possible than try it!
