She's Being Built!

Just wanted to announce that my new baby is being built this week... Any of you that work in the ON plant make sure to take extra good care of it for me

 

Anyway, I aso wanted to ask how long does it typically take until it gets to the dealer??

 

Im gettin it in DE so im thinking bout 2 weeks.

Two-to-Three weeks after its built is about right,Mine was built this past Monday (Ft.Wayne,IN. plant) and shipped Friday (To North Carolina) so I should see it this week (I hope!)

yeah your looking at about average 2 week turnaround, pending no hiccups whilst shipping. Which wouldent be any problem of GM. You could call and complain to Gen Auto Shippers.

Yea,A problem such as a train derailment,There have been three derailments in the last few weeks that have held up shipping.

Two of the trains had trucks from the Fort Wayne plant and the other one had trucks from the Flint & Pontiac,MI. plants.

One of the trains cargo was inspected and all was OK,They were shipped on to there final destination.

I haven't heard about the other two yet.

I hope nothing of the sort happens to my truck on the way! Nothing I can do about it though... Just cant wait to go for a ride, it will be getting here right as the weather starts to warm up, perfect.

 

Im finishing my MBA this spring so its partially my graduation present to myself, not to mention all the practical reasons i told my special lady I feel like a kid on the night before christmas! It cant get here soon enough.

My truck took just less than 2 weeks to get from Oshawa to MiddleOfNowhere Kansas. So barring any "issues", 2 weeks sounds like a goo estimate for you. You'll love your truck. "Refined" is the first thing that comes to mind every time I get in mine.

I placed my order in early Jan, so about 8 weeks.

Hey guys, do you happen to know the last month I can order a new Silverado? I want to wait to the last month so I can get decent incentives. The truck I am ordering will be a Dark Blue 1LT Ext Cab, std bed, Z71 2wd, 5.3/3.73, Tow pkg, 17'' Alum wheels.

April 27 is the last day to place orders for '07s. I'm thinking this is the last day for dealers to do it, so you might want to try a couple of weeks earlier to make sure it gets in.

I ordered my truck on February 16th.....My build week is March 26th....so with Good Friday and Easter Monday I should have it by the second week of April at the latest...
