Driver Air Bag Removal/Horn Switch Repair

I have a 1999 GMC Suburban. with a non functioning horn. I have checked everything and determined that the switch in the steering wheel is not working. How do I remove the air bag so that I can get to the switch?

The air bag come out with bolts on the back side of the steering wheel. Be sure to 1st disconnect the battery.

you have to diable the SIR. you need to look in a manual but of memory you have to diable zone 1. pull the sir fuse and disconnect a yellow conector somewhere by the paring brake. Thr Sir has a reserve of power so just talking off the battery is not the way according to the ESI.

Is this the same process for replacing the cruise control / turn signal switch? My cruise control works periodicly and I was told it was in the switch itself.
