2007 Silverado Fuel Mpg

I am looking to possibly purchase a new truck. With the rising fuel costs, I am keeping my options open. What are the 1500 Silverado's getting for MPG?

Do a search theres been a few gas miliage posts around. Check out the average 5.3 poll there's a few people in there with new 07s. But basically if your really concered about gas miliage trucks not the way to go. I think they have been getting better in the last few years. But when it comes down to it they usually do not get as good as they claim. With a new 5.3 your probably looking at averaging anywhere between 14 and 16 and highway 17 to 20 depending on gear ratios, and more important how heavy your foot is. If MPG is a driving factor in the purchase, you won't ever be happy with a truck. The difference that you will get from the sticker in mileage is going to be negligable. You buy a truck for different reason's than MPG.
