Flashpaq Tire Size

I thought I read somewhere that you should measure the tire rather than going by the manufacturer's listed size. Is this true? Wouldn't the weight of the truck compress the tire to a size that is actually smaller than the manufacturer's size? Wouldn't a better measurement be to jack up the truck and measure the diameter with no load on the tire?

Nope. I have talked with the techs at Superchips and you can also read about it on the www.flashpaq.com website that you measure the tires while they are on the truck on the ground - that's the way the techs said they program the tuner. Put a ruler on the top of the tire and measure from the ground up and use that measurement - I have 50 lbs tire pressure in the front tires and 45lbs in the rear in my 285's and the measurement is the same. Measure it to the closest 1/4".
