94 Tranny Question

I am trying to diagnose my tranny. It's a 94 K2500. 156,000. Fluid hasn't been replaced since I have had it. When I slow down to 10-20 MPH and then get back in the gas, My tranny kindof jerks in to the next gear, It sounds like it's coming from the trans or my rear end. I have a shift kit in it. I think it's either my tranny slipping or my rear end. Makes kind of a ding and a popping noise. I put some Lucas trans fix in it and it seem to help some. But now it's doing it again. tranns runs great other than that. Wondering if I should change fluid and filter and rear end oil, and see if that doesn't fix it. I know it's hard to tell with me tell you but any help would be great. I was wondering if theres anything this model year trany is notorious for?

Drop the pan and change the fluid and filter, look for any shavings etc, might not hurt to do a complete flush.
