Try this website, http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tireselector/index_bs.asp Pick any product in your size and compare each on the tire revolution/mile chart. The change you describe will make your speedo/odometer read to the high side as the shorter profile tire will turn more revolutions per mile.

If you are looking for a bargin, check-out some of the e-bay stores. I purchased a whole set of factory take-off tires & wheels for my last truck from a shop in northern Indiana that buys from van conversion shops. They were already mounted on GM aluminum wheels and cost less than the tires alone from the local tire shop.

Hi all: I need one more post.

I would first check to make sure that 265/75r/16 is the correct oem size for your truck. If it is then going to 265/70r/16 would be going to a smaller diameter and wider tire, which would affect your odometer. My oem size is 265/70r/16 and I am planning to go with 245/75r/16. This would be 1" narrower yet have the same diameter. www.tirerack.com is a great refference site, just pick your tire and click on specs. it will tell you everything.

:D

Just did the same for my '05 Sierra, new 17" dealer take-offs from Flea-Bay.

New wheels & Tires thread

The 265/70/16's will be shorter, make the speedo and odo turn faster and won't look right.
