Fog Light Wiring

HELP PLEASE!! I've bought a new '07 Classic, and added factory fog light kit. My concern is if you look at the Factory Service manual, ( the 4 volume set from Helm, page 12-234 of Volume 3), the relay numbering of the pins are the same if you read in a clockwise direction, as are the rest of the relays. HOWEVER, if you read the decal on the underhood fuse block cover, the Fog Lamp relay is opposite from all the rest. The lights seem to work properly with the relay plugged in either way, which confuses me. If anyone has done this, or if someone has a factory installed fog lights, could you please pull the fog lamp relay, and see where pin 30 is? I'd appreciate it.

The relay can be plugged in either position,it is design to work in both positions.

When I added foglights to my 06 Z71, I plugged the relay into the box so the terminals numbers were upside down when looking at the relay from the left side. '07 classic should be identical to that.

All the relay plastic cover #s are upside down looking at them from the left, however, if the fog lamp relay is plugged in that way, you'll find that pin 30 is diagonally opposite from the rest of the relays. Looking at the others, pin 30 will be in the "upper right" corner, while pin 30 on ends up in "lower left" of fog lamp relay. My concern is that you have followed the decal under the cover, correctly, yet if you access a service manual, you have installed "180 degrees" out. I do know that they work either way, have tried each, but want to know which is correct. A risk of fire at all? Check your label on the bottom of underhood fuse box cover, then try to compare to a service manual. I tend to think the manual is correct, decal may have been printed wrong? Let's get out there and look at everyone's install.
