Thanks, Everyone!

I'm a new owner of a (used) GMC Sierra, and thanks to the forum, I found out I can turn off the auto-door locking feature. The locks were set to lock at 15 mph, and unlock only when the ignition was turned off, which really sucked! I never would have guessed it was programmable, so I never would have thought to look in the owner's manual.

In my Colorado, the doors unlocked when I put the tranny in park, which made some sense but still annoyed because people would try to open the door just as I was coming to a stop before I could shift so it was always a race. But in this truck, I was getting more and more aggrivated by the week as I put the engine in park, then still had to hit unlock.

Anyway, it's great to be a 1500 owner, and it's great to have this forum. Thanks, everyone!

Much obliged, mshell. The Colorado's gone; I loved that truck, but we bought a boat and needed a heavier truck with 4x4 to have enough traction up the nasty boat ramps along the sounds and bays here.
